My name is LIU Tong (刘彤).

I am an Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University, specialized in environmental investigation, water resources management, and ecological risk assessment under the changing climate.

I study the occurance, dynamics, and risks of emerging pollutants in freshwater environment, and how human activities affect the pollutant emissions and transport.

My current research program focuses on the following topics:

• perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs);
• microplastics;
• dynamic modelling of micropollutants;
• remediation and reduction effects of wetland on micropollutants;
• ecological risk assessment.
